Help Define the Future of Cider Education
Cider education is growing, and with that growth comes an important question: What should advanced levels of cider education look like?

We believe the answer should come from the people who live, work, teach, taste, and think about cider every day.
That’s why we’re inviting passionate cider professionals, educators, industry experts, and Certified Pommeliers™ to join the expanding Education Committee.
We Want Your Voice at the Table
The Education Committee helps define the direction of cider education and the continued development of the Certified Cider Professional™ program. This is an opportunity to contribute ideas, expertise, and perspective while working alongside others who are equally passionate about advancing worldwide knowledge and understanding of cider.
Cider is an international category with distinct traditions, production methods, cultures, and markets. International experts bring perspectives that are essential to building meaningful, relevant cider education. We want educators and professionals from different cider-producing regions and markets to be part of the conversation.
You also do not have to be a Certified Pommelier™ to participate.
If you have expertise in cider, education, sensory evaluation, hospitality, production, history, agriculture, food pairing, or another area that can contribute to the advancement of cider education, we want to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For
The strongest committees are built from people who bring different experiences to the same table. We’re looking for individuals who are:
-Passionate about cider and education
-Collaborative and willing to work as part of a team
-Interested in developing and improving cider education
-Willing to share ideas, experience, and constructive feedback
-Represent diverse cider traditions, markets, and perspectives
Most importantly, we’re looking for people who understand that great education is a team effort.
This committee isn’t about one person having all the answers. It’s about bringing knowledgeable people together to ask better questions, challenge assumptions, share expertise, and build educational programs that serve the cider community.
As cider continues to gain recognition around the world, the need for thoughtful, accessible, and credible education will only grow.
That means we need education that reflects the diversity of cider.
We need perspectives from established cider regions and emerging markets. We need people who understand traditional cider production, as well as those working with new techniques and approaches. We need educators who know how to communicate complex information and industry professionals who understand what people actually need to know.
Most of all, we need people who are willing to work together.
The Education Committee will be an opportunity to help influence what cider professionals, hospitality teams, educators, and enthusiasts learn about cider in the years ahead.
Maybe you’re a Certified Pommelier™ looking for a way to give back to the program.
Maybe you’re an international cider expert with years of experience that could help broaden our perspective.
Maybe you’re an educator who understands how people learn.
Maybe you’re a cidermaker, sommelier, hospitality professional, researcher, or industry professional who sees opportunities to make cider education stronger.
You don’t have to have all the answers. You just need something valuable to contribute and a willingness to collaborate.
The future of cider education should be shaped by a broad community of people who care about getting it right.
If you’re interested in helping shape the future of cider education, we invite you to consider joining the Certified Cider Professional™ Education Committee.
Certified Pommeliers™, international cider experts, educators, cidermakers, and industry professionals are all encouraged to apply.
Bring your experience. Bring your perspective. Bring your questions.
Most importantly, bring your willingness to work together.
