Help Shape CiderCon® 2027: Call for Session Proposals & Research Posters Now Open

The ACA is excited to open the Call for Educational Session Proposals and Research Poster Submissions for CiderCon® 2027, taking place April 5–7, 2027, in San Antonio, Texas.

In 2027, CiderCon® will be presented in a new format through a co-location with the Craft Brewers Conference® (CBC), creating new opportunities for collaboration and industry connection while continuing to deliver the cider-focused education and community that have always been at the heart of CiderCon®.

We invite cider makers, orchardists, researchers, educators, suppliers, and industry partners to contribute to a program that informs, inspires, educates, and strengthens every aspect of our community.

Educational Session Proposals

What's New for 2027

As part of CiderCon®'s co-location with the Craft Brewers Conference® (CBC), the educational program is evolving to make the most of each organization's strengths. CiderCon® will continue to lead the cider-specific programming that attendees have come to expect, with sessions focused on Cidermaking & Production, Flavor, Terroir & Tasting, and Orcharding. The ACA will work closely with the Brewers Association to ensure cider's voice is represented throughout additional education tracks, including business development, marketing, branding, leadership, and operations. Proposals for those educational tracks will open at a later date.

Proposal Details

We're seeking engaging, educational presentations that provide practical insights, emerging research, innovative ideas, and proven best practices for cider industry professionals.

For 2027, the ACA is focusing on three core tracks for our educational sessions:

Cidermaking & Production – Fermentation, quality assurance, processing, equipment, packaging, innovation, and production best practices.

Flavor, Terroir & Tasting – Regional expression, blending, sensory evaluation, and consumer education.

Orcharding – Orchard management, horticulture, fruit quality, sustainability, pest management, climate resilience, and growing practices.

*The strongest proposals should provide new topics, clear learning objectives, actionable takeaways, and engaging presentation formats that encourage audience participation. Proposals that are primarily promotional or sales-focused will not be considered for educational sessions*
