Cider Education Program is headed to South Korea
The Certified Cider Professional™ Program is coming to South Korea.

The American Cider Association is excited to announce that the Certified Cider Professional™ program is heading to South Korea.
Through a new collaboration with Orchard Seoul, we are bringing cider education, sensory experiences, and certification to Seoul. More importantly, we are creating an opportunity to bring people together around cider.
As the global cider community continues to grow, the American Cider Association is committed to creating opportunities for people around the world to connect with cider education in ways that are accessible, engaging, and relevant to their own communities.
Our events in Seoul offer two unique ways to get involved, whether you are simply curious about cider or ready to take the next step toward professional certification.
Start With Your Palate.
Beginner Sensory Workshop: Introduction to Tasting Cider
November 22nd, 1:00-2:30 PM
The first event is all about getting together, tasting cider, and learning more about what is happening in your glass.
Forget complicated jargon. This workshop is designed to be approachable, interactive, and fun.
Whether you are completely new to cider or have been enjoying it for years, you will leave with a sharper palate, a better understanding of what you like, and plenty of stories to share at your next happy hour.
Most importantly, you will get to experience cider alongside other people who are just as curious about it as you are.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
Become a Certified Cider Guide™
November 21st, 1:00- 5:00 PM
For those who want to take their cider knowledge further, Orchard Seoul will also host a Certified Cider Guide™ Certification Workshop and Tasting Experience.
Certified Cider Guide™ is the first level of the American Cider Association's internationally recognized Certified Cider Professional™ program.
This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to build a stronger foundation in cider. Participants will join a Certified Instructor for an in-person training experience covering the essential knowledge needed to better understand and communicate about cider.
The afternoon will also include an introduction to sensory evaluation, featuring a guided tasting experience exploring the five cider families.
This is not simply a presentation. Participants will taste, discuss, and build practical skills they can use behind the bar, in the tasting room, on the retail floor, in the kitchen, or anywhere cider is part of the conversation.
Who Should Attend?
All are welcome.
This workshop is especially valuable for:
Anyone who sells or serves cider
Tasting room professionals
Retail and bottle shop employees
Chefs and culinary professionals
Sommeliers
Cicerones
Beverage buyers
Cidermakers
Hospitality professionals
Anyone interested in cider education or adding a cider certification to their professional accreditation
A New Chapter for International Cider Education
Bringing the Certified Cider Professional program to South Korea is about more than offering a certification.
It is about building connections.
Cider is an international beverage with traditions, ingredients, and stories that stretch across the globe. As the cider community grows, so does the opportunity to learn from one another.
The American Cider Association is proud to collaborate with Orchard Seoul to create opportunities for the South Korean cider community to gather, taste, learn, and connect.
Whether you are joining us to explore the building blocks of cider sensory or taking the next step toward becoming a Certified Cider Guide™, we hope these events are the beginning of many new conversations and connections.
We cannot wait to meet the cider community in Seoul.
Let's taste, learn, and grow together.
