Eric became a lover of cider after moving to Oregon from California. As a Certified Beer Server who worked in that industry for over a decade, the new challenge and love for cider was exciting. Since joining the team at Bauman's Cider in 2024, he has grown his knowledge and appreciation for apples, pears, cider, and perry. Becoming a Certified Pommelier™ has been a goal since he joined the industry. Eric plans to use his certification to bring more people into the world of cider, through pairings, education, and outreach in Portland and beyond. He wants to use his background in craft beer as a gateway to bring cider to the masses.

Eric has earned his certification with an Award of Distinction in both Theory and Sensory.
